Anyone had a build done by these guys? Just curious if someone has first hand experience and how their rifle shot.

I’ve got one made off a rem700 action.
Lefty 6.5cm. Xcaliber barrell. Timney trigger. Hs precision stock. Cerakoted.
I really liked dealing with them.
Jason was the guy i dealt with. Called and talked to him several times. Took time to answer all my questions.
Even called him to add a brake on the rifle after the ordered. Could of made a few more bucks off me. But said he wouldn’t do it if the rifle was his own.
I asked what the accuracy policy was, he said it’s simple. Either you like the rifle or you don’t. Send it back if not.
Took about 4 months start to finish. I’m sure some of that was time waiting for LH stock.
They are having their own actions made now. Maybe one day they’ll do lefties also.
Shoots great. ( better than i can). Shot it to 1300yrds.

I spoke with them last year about a build but went another route. They offer some group builds and it appears their business has grown really quickly. They post allot on Texasbowhunter. I know there's some reviews there

Big Dave how long ago did you have yours built, looks like they offer only cut rifled barrels and proof carbons.

I've bought one of their ready to ship rifles in 6.5 PRC in April. It's a damn good shooter.

I’ve got several from them. 300 Wby, 6.5 PRC, 20 Practical they put together and a 28 Nosler. The Roy, 28N and PRC are .05 or better. I haven’t had a chance to press loads for the 20P but expect same, if not better results.
They’re an excellent bunch of guys to work with who turn out a solid rig....They’ll also do a full build based off components you desire.
My 7WSM is being done by Scott Weichel. 😎

I can’t yet comment on the accuracy as I’m still a cpl weeks out from taking delivery, but I must say the communication, organization and delivery time frames are the best I’ve encountered in the business. Really a solid outfit to work with.

I’ve not dealt with them personally but I’ve seen enough comments from locals to know I’d not hesitate
Communication and customer service are just as, if not more important than “accuracy reports”. What known custom builders are putting out sorry shooting rifles these days anyway? For a hunting rig or even a PRS type rifle any competent riflesmith with quality equipment can build a rifle using a good barrel blank that will shoot better than most guys.
I would absolutely consider APR or I was currently shopping for a custom rifle

Outstanding shop- everyone in there knows their stuff and the only thing they care about is putting out a good product!!!

Oh-- and the 22-250ai shot 15 rounds under 1" during fireforming with factory ammo!

I've been out of town for 10 days or so and just now getting back to this thread...
Thanks for all of the info! Sounds like APR is a great option. I kinda expected that is what I would hear, but wanted to be sure.

Back when i used them they were still using rem 700 actions. Now i wanna say they use Curtis and there own ( made for them) APR actions.

Mine came to me with a SAAMI 1.88 FB and I was fine with it since I didn’t want to run 195 EOL bullets. Theres enough room to float your bullet out a smidge from the necks at 1.88 I just got it my 28N back from APR yesterday after having them replace the BDL with a HS-Precision dbm. A lot of freak space in the HS mag for loading long. The rig is a one hole pile driver shooting 140g and 160g Nosler Abonds. I’m taking it up to the range tomorrow morning and will post some pictures. Mine has the older refined Remington action but now APR’s house action is made by TL Technologies built to APR spec. I also have an APR action they built on a custom 300 Roy. Super slick, trued and blueprinted. Haven’t had a hiccup with any of the 4 builds they made me, Super bunch of guys who have solid equipment and the skills to run it. Fit - finish - craftsmanship has been off the hook, and, yes every rig shoots sub moa over 10 rounds fired...😎

APA Area419 Hellfire.
It’s an excellent brake if you can tolerate the KichenAid size egg beater. 😬😎
