There’s a dealership in Arkansas that is painting new Chevys with the old 70’s two tone schemes, really cool concept to me as 1970’s trucks are my favorites. I drove by a dealer the other day that had one of the new 1500s done up in two tone. Absolutely the most hideous pickup I’ve ever seen. GM has finally out uglied Dodge with this body style.

Any truth to Ford's having lifetime engine and tranny warranties? That's not a Ford factory offering. That's a dealer ploy trying to sell pickups. Dodge and Chevy dealers do it too.

Any truth to Ford's having lifetime engine and tranny warranties? That's not a Ford factory offering. That's a dealer ploy trying to sell pickups. Dodge and Chevy dealers do it too. So, only honored by the selling dealer, and no other dealer?

Dealer east of here does that on Fords and Dodges. “Free engines for life!”, the billboards proclaim. Fine print says that every oil, filter, fuse, and lightbulb has to be changed by them to keep from voiding your free engine warranty policy.

The policy says they will pay another dealer for the repair if you can't get it to the purchasing dealer, and it's approved beforehand.

As a Ford man, I will admit they finally "fixed" the shape and geometry of the wheel wells, but the real reason I spurn ow the purchase of any GM vehicle was the Obama/UAW theft of GM when they should have gone bankrupt and reorganized. Ford did not participate in this government bailout scheme that turned over 51% of GM to the UAW.

Chrysler did have a legit lifetime warranty that was honored at any dealership.....you had to pay for it up front when you bought a new vehicle I think. I was gonna link it for you guys but unfortunately they quit selling them. Must have been costing them too much money.
