Sig Sauer, either P365 (9mm) or P229 (40S&W or .357 Sig.) depending on the need. Any ammo as long as its Speer Gold Dots.

before or after labor day ?
I thought that only applied to felt or straw. For many here, it seems....that applies to white. To the OP - none of the above. If I can have only one, it's gonna be something more versatile and less ammo-sensitive. Revolver?

Or, at least, that's how I'm playing it.

I packed a Glock 22 every day from 1991 until 2015 then I Switched to a Glock 19 mos with a Leupold Delta point pro. Never a.failure to function in all that time!

Glock 43 loaded with 147 grain Federal HST. Spare mag in pants pocket. Problem solved. Also, don't underestimate a good Airweight snubby or Ruger LCR in .38 Special loaded with 135 grain Gold Dot short barrel.

Ron Not a thing wrong with that. Not my everyday carry guns, but I, not infrequently, carry my 43 with a spare (both mags wearing Plus One base pads). I also, no infrequently, carry my little S&W 442 Airweight .38 Special Plus P. They both have their places, are both awesome, low profile, and effective, concealed carry guns.

It fits me better. I carried a Glock for years on duty and off, and resisted considering anything but Glocks for defensive use. But I started handling M&Ps more and more and when they came out with the M2.0, I was hooked. I shoot it better on my worst day than I ever did my Glock on my best day. Thanks for the replies. What ammo you guys keep on tap? Speer Gold Dots, although I'd be comfortable carrying just about anything from the reputable manufacturers.

Had a Glock 26, and just couldn't find any love for it, as it was not concealable at all, which was what I wanted it for in the first place. Ended up selling it, and getting a Glock 19, and ditching the idea of concealing a double stack 9. I went to a small 380, but I still have a hankering for a Glock 43.
I don't shoot a handgun a lot, as I consider a handgun as something I have to carry when I can't carry a long gun. So, my opinion doesn't carry much weight, but Glocks are simple and they work, so that's good enough for me.

How you guys say you can't conceal a Glock 19 is beyond me.

How you guys say you can't conceal a Glock 19 is beyond me. Yep. The 26 and the 19, in an IWB, are super easy to conceal under an untucked polo style shirt. The 17 is pushing it just a bit, but even that is concealed pretty well in the same way. If you need zero printing under an untucked shirt, that's what the Glock 43 is for, but the 26 is right behind it in near zero printing, due to the short grip, which is the main concern when it comes to printing.
