Busy weekend, big boat back in the water & functioning flawlessly !

Got chased off the lake at noon Sunday, by a YUGE thunderstorm.

Over the day & a half, we put back over twenty five 21"+ walleye & a 38" Northern.

Good times !

Still can't get the damned boat started. One way or another, I'm going fishing Friday. If I gotta charge up all the batteries and just use the trolling motor, so be it. Can't stand being stranded on shore like this, and don't have the money to put it in the shop right now, so a trollin' we will go.

Carb has to come off and come apart. a lot of the marine carbs use a small nylon/rubber tube as a fuel passage inside the carb from sort of a foot sump up towards main jet. Not uncommon for the tube to give way to age, split or break at a connection point.

Something clever here.

Hey guys.

I'm a grandpa, X2.

I got my second grandbaby yesterday at about 3:50 pm.

It was rough, things didn't go as planned. The cord was wrapped twice around baby boy's neck and as he moved down, positioning for natural birth, everything sort of went in the ditch. Baby's heart rate dropped, controlled panic basically describes the transition to plan B. Which was emergency C section.

Everything went well, healthy baby, healthy mother. Proud of my daughter, proud of my son inlaw. They did very well.

It's an older motor Dave. Wouldn't surprise me if you're right on this. Maybe it's time I taught my self how to tear down and rebuild a carb.

Wow Dave. Glad to hear everyone's okay. Congrats Grampa. Time to shop for a deer rifle for the little nimrod. Time's a wastin'!

Take it slow, keep cell phone handy and take photos from multiple angles showing linkage connections, tube routings etc. Continue to take pics as you remove and sequence your way towards dissasembly of the carb. keep track of all screws and small pieces as you go.

Congratulations to Taylor & "Zac Brown" !!

& to the whole family !

Had this happen too, with Caroline, our first born.

Scary as heck, but all worked out well in the end.

Tell Taylor, not to try & hang out the washing, on the line, until completely healed.

Don't ask me how I know.
