I've lost the recent thread on a new book about the 1895 Winchester. Where may I buy or order this book, please?

Thanks for the order Jim. We were lucky to get a small number of books shipped right to Cody in time from the printer. It was good to see Shrapnel there again when he picked up his copies. The bulk of the books should arrive in the next day or two and the online orders can start going out.

Several campfire members helped us out with sending in images for the book, including Shrap and Kaywoodie. Loggah also sent in a number of good 1895 images. He has a great .405 pictured in the book in a few places. It letters with a Silvers recoil pad and you can see an image of it scroll by on the website. While we tried to be very comprehensive on the Model 1895, we also included a lot of Winchester history from that time period in the book, and a lot of original drawings and documents. We even made sure to include some brief Savage 1895/1899/99 mentions in the book. Author David Royal helped out with a pre-1899 military rifle image, and we also included a couple of Gary Groshel's excellent old photos.

Thanks again!

Thank you for the background information, Brad. I have an 1895 carbine in .30-06 from the Charles Schriner III dispersal sale. Charlie thought it had a Texas Ranger background but had no documentation on it.

Thanks guys.

We included some Texas Ranger history and images from that time period in the Lawmen chapter of the book. There were some very interesting characters in that group.
