I find myself intrigued by this particular model, does anybody have any experience with this particular gun? I like the idea of the HS stock, and the whole thing coming in at 6 pounds.
I won't drink the swirled Kool-Aid .....well, maybe, if it looks like wood
I handled one of these recently that was chambered in .308 Win, fit and finish looked top notch but that HS stock is way too thick and clubby for my taste 👎🏿....Hb

Nope, I'm 6'2" 230lbs and wear XL gloves. I just dont like thick wristed stocks on My rifle's...I have owned a half dozen or so Model Seven stainless synthetic's in various calibers and I like the slim tupperware Remington factory stock on those 👍......Hb
I was going to get one in 6.5 Creedmoor, as I want a stainless Remington 7 or 700 in that chambering. The other option is a Mountain Rifle. I've been putting it off for several reasons......I'm not sure how well the lightweight barrels on the Model 7 and the 700 MR will work for the 6.5, as far as long range accuracy goes, although they'd probably work well enough for my use. Then, I've already got a very good shooting Model 700 SPS in 6.5 CM, the matte finish 24 inch barrel model. Finally, I think that sooner or later, Remington will make a stainless SPS in 6.5.
Now, I've been doing a little rethinking going that route, and thinking about trying one of the Model 700 American Hunter rifles in 6.5. I want to handle one, and so far, haven't been able to.
Picked up a 2-10x40 razor. Should make a decent wet side blacktail set up. Rifle will be here Friday, hopefully I'll have a report by Monday if work doesn't complicate things
My experience with the model seven is very limited but I picked up a 7-08 Rem Model 7 SS HS Precision a few months ago. Initially I bought this for my grandson that will be ready to hunt in a couple of years but after my wife had a chance to shoot the rifle she decided that she really likes it. My wife has shot a Browning A-Bolt Medallion in .280 for years and it's been a great rifle but with her being a smaller person she really likes how the model seven fits her. Currently she's only been able to shoot paper but she's pretty excited to use it this year to fill her tags. It's looking like I'll have to pick up another one sometime for the grandson.
