Hey Paul, Up until that last fish, I was thinking it was all the same fish from different angles......!
Nicely done!
Congrats Shaw family. I loved the Facebook post from Dave: "This is my grandson. He is brand new." Classic Dave sense of humor and I even read it to my wife who was laughing.

BMan, they've got some shoulders on them.
Over the 2 days, the 2 of us put back 26 walleye, over 22" !
Biggest one was 26.25".
Oh, & we were home by noon, both days.
Paul.

At least I had shorts & Japanese safety shoes on, Joe had long pants, shoes n socks, 3 sweaters & his floater coat on ! Bastard's getting so old, he makes me put him in the boat, before backing done to launch ! I believe 7*C is roughly 45*F too.

Well, it's starting all ready. I picked up a camo blind yesterday off a K-bids auction. Hoping to put it us this morning and see what I think. Deer season just can't get here fast enough!

Yep, it is starting! The daughter talked me into going out to look for deer last night. So I picked up my mom and my gramma who love to get out of the house and headed out. Saw a bunch of deer to everyone's enjoyment. The highlight was finding that all of the bucks in that area were together in one bachelor group. We saw 13 bucks in one field, including 2 really nice big 4X4s. I was beginning to wonder if there were any bucks around until we found them. Pretty cool to see that many in one group.
In just over a month, another fall begins. Seems most, if not all, of the people that frequent this thread are heavily invested in the fall. I cannot wait to hear the stories and see the pictures (including a Cous deer hunt with Ryan!).

I headed up to Duluth on Sunday to help my dad with some stuff and we saw a ton of deer. I would bet over 1/2 were bucks.
There is also a REALLY (20” + ) wide 10pt by my house. He was around a few years ago and we didn’t see him last year. So, I was happy to see him a few weeks ago and have a few more times since.
The Fireweed is starting to show up in the ditches and nights are cooling a bit. Small little signs that keep us excited for what is to come.

I don't start thinking fall until October, we had a wildfire last night just across the border of the property. 15 acres and in some of the most remote nasty canyon area you can imagine. we're drying out fast and with a wet spring/early summer.... fire is on everyones mind.

But the signs are here that it’s on the way. Late September is our anniversary. We’re going on a 4 day 4-wheeling trip. That will get me excited. I’m sure we’ll see the colors and some deer that will fire me up.

You guys are back to normal on the moisture eh? Sorry about the fires! October I’ll be fired up because we’ll be back in SD goofing off!

I'm just wondering if I should bother with some kind of heater for this blind. It's 57" by 57" footprint. I've got a Big Buddy heater, but thinking about picking up a smaller unit or one of these sunflower heaters. Are any of the smaller units rated as safe for use in blinds like this? Just thinking I might not want to lug the Big Buddy back in the woods if I don't have to go with something that big. It might cook me out of the blind too.
