I tried the search but unable to find it.I'm sure someone can help. Capt david "It's not how hard you hit 'em, it's where you hit 'em." The 30-06 will, with the right bullet, successfully take any game animal in North America up to 300yds. If you are a hunter, and farther than that, get closer!

Mule Deer Campfire Kahuna M Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 60,161 Likes: 13 Banana Belt, Montana	Here's an approximate list for 7x57's with at least 21-22" barrels: 120-grain: 3100 fps 130:3000 140: 2900 150: 2800 160: 2700 175: 2550 So far I haven't found any new and magic powders that will beat those muzzle velocities at "modern" pressures.
