So far, the Glock light on the accessory rail has been VERY nice... played with it at night, and yeah, I LIKE IT!
Newest upgrade...
Well, I've been worried about if SHTF 'round here, that the 175 gr. Win. STHPs would go through (or, yes, maybe even PAST) the bad guy, and right through the sheetrock into the next townhouse, or next room.
So, today, I found a couple packs of Glaser Blue Safety 10mm Auto 115 gr. loads. $30, total out the door, later... and a couple downrange at a local range (dead-ass, holes-touching, point of aim at 25 feet... YES!), and 10 of those Glasers came home. They are now loaded in a 15 rd. magazine, up first (empty pipe), backed by 5 Winchester reduced recoil 180 gr. JHPs. 15 Win. STHPs are in the other loaded 15 rounder, as back-up.
I figure that 1700 fps, 115 grs., #12 shot impacting at about 700 ft.lbs., ought to work nicely, if it ever needs to.

The 5 leftover reduced Win. loads are just because I still have them, and there are only 5 of them. If 10 Glasers can't get it done, well...
That's what the 15 175 gr. STHPs are for. Haven't had a chance to chrono those STHPs yet, but the accuracy and downrange recovered expandeds have been IMPRESSIVE!

I have been thinking about getting some Glasers for my Kel Tec P32 I have guns with rails for a light but I prefer not to have a light on my gun I always thought that a bad guy would just shoot below the light so I prefer to hold my light out to the side when things go bump in the middle of the night.

TD;
IMHO, when the light clicks on, it's to positively identify the target with rounds downrange almost immediately thereafter.

About what I figured, based upon trajectory and BC reverse calculations was 1100 to 1150; so 1156 ain't far off.
Thanks; VERY useful...
Figure 1150 fps gives 513ish ft./lbs. Not bad... definitely HOT .45ACP range, and only about 100 fps behind factory load guess-timates for the .41 Rem. Magnum with 180s...
I can live with that.
