some company on gunbroker has a bunch a Zastava's that were imported from Serbia. Made in Yugoslavia so that makes them a little older. Interesting looking rifles with double set triggers. I guess I'm always interested in these because I was on the targeting team that picked the arms factory back during the Kosovo bombing.

I have seen those, and even bid on a couple. Really can't make up my mind between the 8x57 and the 30-06. Both have set triggers, etc. I'd like to have one, but there are some other things on the radar screen right now.

I would like to get one in 30-06 and have it re-bored to 9.3x62. Do you think there is enough meat in the barrel to do that?

The MP-22 looks very interesting. I wonder what type of scope mounts are used? Is this rifle available in 22MAG? Can aftermarket triggers be installed, Timmey? I like what I see from a 1000'.

I have 2 both have double set triggers. 8x57js and 7x64 . Both are absolute tack drivers. Their the best kept secret on gun broker till now ....shhh!
There is also a guy out there selling 9.3 barrels of the same make
Pm me if you have any questions..

Every Zastava M70 and M85 that I've seen and the one M85 that I own had/has "checkering" that looked like it had been scratched on with a an awl or an ice pick. If you buy one of these rifles from Elk Country Ammo & Arms, you may find yourself in the market for a replacement stock, something to think about when you factor in that potential expense.

I got one of the mp22s a couple years ago. Had to work it over to get it to feed without stove piping but it’s been very accurate

I have seen examples like that also on the newer offerings but the two I have are older models ( pre model 70 designation) and have decent checkering not fine but nothing that distracts from them. Now the stocks do need to be cleaned up and I feel refinished. Other than that the bluing is spectacular and the metal work excellent. A well executed commercial Mauser action such as this is worth the price paid. I find the entire rifle itself to be an awesome buy at $300.

I have a left handed Charles Daly version of the same action on the way. I don't know what it's going to be yet and that will probably change six times before I make up my mind.

Chronographs, bore scopes and pattern boards have broke a lot of hearts.
