I have a Summit Openshot that I’ve been using exclusively since last November, bought it brand new. The last couple hunts I’ve noticed the foot platform creaks a lot anytime I shift my weight, even if it’s a very slightly movement. Any ideas how to fix it?

Do you mean heat shrink tubing to cover the cable?

Give Summit a call. They should know exactly what it needs.

Some mornings, it just does not feel worth it to chew through the straps!~

It’s always the simple answers that I overlook. Thanks for the tip.

Sat in my Muddy "Outfitter" for the first time today.
Was sturdy and quiet.

Had an Ol Man "Tara" chain on. Was great but 20 yrs old.
Shoulda kept it.

Private ground so can run chain ons w screw in step under.

Proly get a second "cheap" Outfitter stand and then try a Lone Wolf.

Figure out where the noise is being generated and apply some spray on silicone lube.

I had a Summit Viper climber that I ended up wrapping the lower half rails with with Camo foam tape, and adding tape to the platform to get it to stop creaking.

I couldn’t find any thing obvious that was rubbing, or cracking weld, or not covered that would be at fault.

The foam seemed to “cure” mine, YMMV.
