Ditto all three for wife and I. The shingles one hurts a little more, but it isn't agony. We both felt a little poorly for a day or two after each one but again, it wasn't awful. The "senior enhanced" flu shot is also a bit more painful than the kiddie dose for a day or three. Big deal.
You cannot get the flu from the flu shot. Impossible. You CAN have a mild reaction due to your immune system saying, "Hey, what the heck is that?" but that's actually a very good thing. You might feel like crud for a bit, but it's a whole lot better than dying of influenza.
Cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.

The only bad effect I've had was the swine flu shot back in the Ford administration, cold sweats, chills, the one night.

I pass on the flu shot but I get the shingles and pneumonia shots. We’re due next week to get the second (and last) pneumonia shot.

I have had the shingles shots and never had any reaction to them. Some they do, and some they don't. I guess. No flu shots for me.
