He nicked the ref with that punch, and the ref did a dive. Pretty good acting. Is he trying for an Oscar, or maybe a Workman's Comp. buyout?
He nicked the ref's hat and the ref flopped. No excuse and the player deserved to be ejected and purp walked off the field.

I don't care how little contact there was, I'm glad he went down to make sure that it was noticed. That kind of crap needs to be dealt with severely. I still dont see him hitting the ref, but I agree that kind of conduct should be dealt with severely. Was he maybe knocked cross-eyed himself and swinging at the Pitt player?

Yes he needs to be kicked out of the stadium, and suspended for some of next year. I saw sh*t like this at high school practice, a guy would get mad at another guy and punch him in the face. Except, the opponent had his helmet on. Then, the two would go at it, swinging away. It is hard to injure somebody when they have full gear on, but you might break your hand. That looked stupid in practice, and this QB looks stupid.

It was not a punch, it was an open hand slap. The ref just got nicked with his finger tips as he was trying to slap the face mask of #12.
