I tried on a Carhartt, too, but with my wide head, the Milwaukee fit better. It's also a bit heavier than the Carhartt.

+1 on the OR Whitefish. I picked one up on Sierra Trading for $20.
I think it’s going to be ideal and I prefer the snaps to Velcro. Velcro catches on everything.

Thanks for that - been wearing Stormy Kromer styles for years and have wanted a change. This looks perfect for what I'm after so just ordered one...
