Biggest we have had and really hit with a bang early this afternoon. Epicenter was less than 15 miles from where we live. Saw it was listed as a 5.1 here in Hutchinson. Don't care to see them get any bigger. I know Arrowhead stadium is rocking this afternoon in KC, but would prefer that be the only other shaking going on.

That's not good. I've been in a few, they are no fun.

No fun. We had a 5.8 here a couple years ago, about 15 miles away also. No damage, but kind of unnerving.

The 7.1 we had just over a year ago was more than enough for me. I'd be just fine to not feel another one like it.

Hutch locals told me it was the fracking out west of town when I was there recently.
I lived there for almost 10 years and never saw a tornado or felt and earthquake. I was there for the natural gas leaks from the old underground salt mine storage areas that escaped from old well shafts and had the town burning and exploding for a day. They were lucky only 2 were killed that day.
I'll call my hunting buddy over on Lakeview Dr. and see if he is eating pheasant fritters today during the Chiefs game. That could explain a few "sonic booms" around town for sure!!!

The explosions and fires from the natural gas leaks created an almost surreal feeling in town for a few weeks because nobody knew what to expect next. We were lucky it wasn't worse than it was.
