In my opinion the VCDL and "Gun Owners of America" just bitch slapped the NRA. Wayne LaPierre is now a empty but expensive suit. Your thoughts?

I am not sure what to think of the NRA. I still get the magazine . I didn't hear anything about Virginia in them, however, I admit , I dont read it much anymore . I am not sure I will rejoin again. Maybe Gun Owners Of America is a better idea. As for the NRA Magazines, it gets old reading about very expensive hunts like it is nothing , and then , never mention the cost. I dont like all the suit and tie boys saying they represent me. I dont recall them ever being in a flannel shirt and boots on going to the field and actually going hunting. Maybe I missed it,. . . I feel it is just a job for them and it's really not " in their blood" so to speak.

Unfortunately, I'm in it for life, to the tune of Life, Endowment, Patron and Benefactor memberships. I send my donation money now to the ISRA (Illinois), and youth programs in town. NRA lit goes dtr, direct to recycle.

NRA has been completely corrupted by power and money. They no longer effectively represent their membership. It pains me to say it as a life member for 30+ years but I will no longer contribute to them. There are far more effective gun rights groups out there working hard and effectively for 2A our rights.

I dropped the NRA years ago when they buttoned their lips about legalities of cancer patients choosing to use alternative medicine and not being able to own or purchase a firearm.
The NRA does not represent me.
