Does anyone know if there is enough meat in the barrel to bore a 7600 pump in '06 to .375 whelen?

Measure the muzzle dia, subtract the bore dia (.375) and see what the difference is. Rule of thumb that was passed along to me was .100-.110" minimum on either side of the bore. In other words, and using your .375 bore, minimum muzzle dia should be ..575-.595".

I purchased a 7600 KES rebored 243 to 358. Only shot a few rounds, 4, but I am having fun setting it up as I want it. I put on a full length scout scope mount and folding stock, among other things. Took it apart and ran it in the ultrasonic cleaner, oiled it and reassembled. Front sight is here and I think I have the rear ghost ring folding sight to install. So a couple of D&T items and maybe milling the rear of the scout base and it may be done. Lots of fun to get the caliber I want so I can concentrate on other stuff. Be Well, Rustyzipper.

There was an old article about reboring a 760 to 375 as I recall Rem sight screw holes to deep to allow safe rebore.

X2 on the fireworks. But I think the rebore shop would refuse to do it. Be Well, Rustyzipper.

If that is the case, I imagine you could lop off enough barrel and recrown it...

A friend has one that was rebarreled to. .375/9.3x62. He had this done for a Namibia leopard hunt. He’s stomped some elk and mulies with it.

JES only charges $25 to shorten and recrown a barrel but only offers it as an add-on to a rebore.
Thanks, Dinny

Just do a .35 Whelen and there will be no problems and the game won't know the difference!
