Wisest thing i have ever heard in this whole debacle:

Yet not one House Republican voted for these articles. If this shallow, hurried and wholly partisan impeachment were to succeed, it would rip the country apart, pouring gasoline on the fire of cultural divisions that already exist. It would create the weapon of perpetual impeachment to be used against future presidents whenever the House of Representatives is of a different political party.

Even a blind hog finds an acorn every once in a while. Lamar wants to be able to retire at the end of this term and be, if not welcomed, at least tolerated when he drags his RINO butt back to Tennessee. He's been playing politics since he was in high school (Boys' State winner) and he's never had a job that wasn't politically connected in some way. Now he's just an irrelevant old geezer trying to stave off senility. He stopped responding to constituents' letters and emails several years ago. For his past two Senate terms he's just been an inside the beltway swamp critter. Good riddance to another RINO once he's gone!

Lamar has lived off the taxpayers tit for his entire life. We're all glad he will be gone. At least twice in his life he has done the right thing: voting against witnesses and not running again!

Yep, but he still screwed gun owners on more than a few occasions. I think he is probably running a close second to Al Gore as the biggest embarrassment to come from Tennessee! Steve Cohen and Harold Ford Jr.. aren't even in the running!
