Hey guys!! I just bought a Winchester model 70 pre 64 264 win mag.. The stock is cracked on the inside between mag well an trigger assembly. I am wanting a replacement stock that will float the barrel. Preferably a composite stock of some sort. Is there many budget stocks out there? 150-250$ range.
Thanks

I see them all the time listed on ebay. You don't say if yours is a fwt or a standard rifle. That info is handy to have, when you are asking questions like this regarding the pre 64 model 70 Winchstster..
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

My question is who makes aftermarket stocks? I have looked on eBay an several other gunstock makers.

I personally wasn't able to find any "budget" stocks still being manufactured when I was looking a short time ago.
I did see a couple Bell and Carlson I believe come and go on ebay as well as some wood stocks, both older factory versions and some custom or aftermarket versions.

I am guessing there is not much demand for pre 64 Winchester in a composite stock version
