Finally got some data to report on my new 6mm BR from Mr Coleman. Obviously, she is a shooter by the pic. These were my 14, 15,and 16th shots through the new barrel. Chrony readings for a seperate five shot string averaged 2978 fps with 34 ES. Might need to work on that. Barrel is 24 " with a 1-12 twist that was built to keep me from drifting to the heavier bullets. Sort of a grounhog deal, although my labrador is not doing bad himself in this department. (That's another story.) I am very pleased. Will report on the 87 Vmax next.

Very Nice. Uncle Mickey do build a nice rifle The trigger man on this one knows what he's doing too What powder are you using? My Mickey-built 6BR loves VV N 135 with the 75 V-Max. HBB

Had Varget on hand so I am using currently. The extreme spread bothers me a bit but I want to stretch her out a bit before I play with another powder. When I get the pics up I will post the 87 Gr. Vmax results. I am pleasantly suprised with those results.

Steelhead, It is under the custom forum titled," Mickey I'm sorry". I bumped it to the top of that forum.

I'm getting a smidge over 3500 fps with 68gr Barts (26"bbl)...

Uh oh! From the posts I have read on the 87's with the 1-12 twist I thought the results might not be as favorable. I will let you know how she does when I get her out there. I plan on testing out to 1000yds.

Cheaha, Using the CCI BR-4's. Might have to get some 450's. Thanks for the tip.

No benchrest shooter, to my knowledge, uses CCI primers. The accuracy just isn't there. A 12 twist is plenty to stabilize an 87 grain bullet but you should be able to get 3100+ fps fairly easily. Try N135 if you can find some.

Mickey, Some of the boys at Williamsport are using the CCI with the 6BR, thus the reason for my first trying them. I know where I can pick up N-135, just have to get there some time. Thanks for the heads up.
