Average weight of a loaded 30 cal. cartridge is just under an ounce.

The 30-06 that I had was right at 7 lbs with a Leupold 2.5-8X36 scope on it. +/- 1-2 oz. I don't remember the exact weight

T3x Lite Stainless in .308 with aluminum picatinny rail with leupold Mark AR 2-9x40 T2 capped turrets.
Weighs 7lbs 3.8 oz. with no sling or cartridges.
I could remove the rail, use a different scope and get to 7lbs or under, but even a .308 with full power loads starts to get a little snippy on the recoil. Which is not a problem when I'm hunting but makes it less fun for range sessions. But I'm getting to the point where I think a rifle in the 7.5-8.0lb range is my ideal. When it's loaded and I put a bipod up front I'm weighing in at 8 1/4 to 8 1/2 lbs.
You asked about the accuracy, and everyone talks about the accuracy. I must have gotten the last one made on a Friday before a long weekend because my first one did not shoot very well. It only shot hornady superformance 150's at moa. Everything else was 1.5-1.75 moa.
I sent it back to Beretta and they sent me a new one that has been outstanding in the accuracy department. Easily shoots moa with any factory load I've tried, and half moa with hornady whitetail 150's and Hornady Match ammo. I haven't handloaded for it yet because of that.
Bob.

And often heard the claims on accuracy from these rifles,
Are you all in agreement with that statement? I forgot this part of you inquiry. Sorry. I'm NOT being smart.... I got my SECOND one, ok grin. The reports ARE true. Jerry

I’m still a bigger fan of the OG T3 over Superlite’s and T3x’s. Tell us the story.

All rifles listed below have talleys except the creed that has DNZ rings. All wear factory stocks except the 308 SL.
T3X Lite 223 w/ 3-9 Leupy = 7 pounds even T3X SL 308 w/ 3-9 Leupy & Mcmillan (Non Edge Stock) = 6lb 11oz T3X Lite 6.5 Creed w/ 3-15 Tract Toric = 7lb 14oz T3X Lite Compact 7/08 w/ 2-7 Leupy = 6lb 9oz

What the difference in weight between the T3 stock and T3x stock?
Anyone? 16, even tho I have a T 3 and T 3X, I won't break them down to weigh the diff. NOW - if I have reason to do so, I WILL weigh them and report here. I like both stocks. AND since 2003 I have not any problem with my T 3 Lite SS 270. I DO prefer the steel recoil lug (insert) of the T 3X. Other than that I can't tell any diff between the two. Jerry

My SS T3x 30-06 weighs 6 lb 2ounces 1 1/2 ounces more then my 270WSM Montana. Lots of hair splitting and that comes from a guy that counts oz..... I have several T3/T3X I’ll try to remember to weigh the stocks but IIRC the X may be one oz heavier......WOW..... 😎😎

T3 Lite Stainless .308 in T3X stock, with factory rings, Limbsaver, and Zeiss 3-9X= 7lbs 5.3oz. Accurate as you could possibly want, and barrel cleans up with just a couple wet patches.

Sounds ideal, And I have not eliminated the .308 just yet, Full blown loonyism....................................
