Not familiar with that rifle. The 22 mag is marginal for coyotes in all but very ideal conditions. I’ve killed a couple with 22 mag at under 50 yards. But they were special situations.

back when we could not use centerfire at night, we would lose more than 50% of the coyotes we shot. They are still my favorite fox round if saving fur, but not for coyotes.
They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

They work great for yotes. Those that say they don't, don't use the right ammo/bullets. I've even killed yotes with the right bullets in the 22lr, and the WMR is a good step up from the lr. Again, those that say bs, just haven't enough experience.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Anyone using this Ruger for varmints? Too small for coyotes? Not with a Ruger, but I've shot a few coyotes with .22 Magnums and feel that it is OK at short ranges, out to maybe 75 yards, but not nearly as good as any .177", .204", or .224" bore center-fire round. I like the .22 Magnum for 'cats and foxes, but they are built on much lighter frames than adult coyotes and are much more fragile.
