How many here favor a wheel lock over a coupler lock for a small camper trailer?
Or both?

Take a wheel off. Simpler and more effective than any kind of lock. Then padlock a piece of heavy chain across the lug studs and around the axle. Jerry

I use a coupler lock and chain through the wheel padlocked to the trailer or something solid nearby.
Taking the wheel off does sound nifty.

A simple battery drill with the right sized socket can remove a wheel super fast. As it happens, my lug nuts, stabilizer jacks, and tongue jack all use a 3/4" socket. My 18v Milwaukee is very handy. I just carry a breaker bar along with the drill to break the lug nuts loose.

Go to Discount Tire and buy a Gorilla WHEEL INSTALLATION KIT (lug nuts). Each kit requires a special socket to fit the nuts. I should have bought a kit when I bought my new tires in October.

I’m prett sure he’s talking about anti theft of the entire trailer, not the wheels?

If ya park it in the same place, like I do my boat, I have a 6 ft mobile home anchor flush in the ground with 2 90 lb bags of sack creat. Put a heave grade bolt through the anchor post I have 60 ft of heavy chain I put a wrap around the axel with another bolt. I think with 60 ft of chain when they get to the end something is going to break to the point they will be draging it. I also still use a coupler lock.
