I’ve got a Mesa in 6.5 PRC and I love the thing. No recoil , and superb accuracy with everything I’ve shot through it. I have nothing but praise for it and it’s my first CA.

My Mesa .300 Winchester has been extremely consistent. Some super good groups, to an average MOA or better with several factory loads. If I recall, the worst load was a Winchester gray box load in the 1.75” range, realistically. It shot 165 SSTs and factory accubonds into .75 moa out to a few hundred yards and I am content with that.
My hand loads shot better, no question about that, but I find myself grabbing factory ammo and shooting/killing more than loading these days.
I’ll buy another. The weight isn’t a fly weight, but it is a slim wrist/stock in general and is easy to carry. I prefer my finished rifles in the 8lb ready to hunt range and this one is right around that.

For the past two decades or so, I collected Win 70s. I'd buy one, take it to my smith, have the trigger adjusted, check the bedding - maybe bed full length and eventually replace the barrel with a Shilen or Douglas. Will always remain a fan of the Win 70 but with the CA, I just mount a scope and shoot. It's kinda old school vs new school, V8 muscle vs high performance turbo, both get the job done. I'm very found of my two Ridgelines! I have no idea re the durability of the Carbon barrels but they are different and different entertains me, at least for now.

Curious on the Sciroccos hand loads or factory? I am fighting mine as it won't group the hand loads scirrocos so I am trying to switch over to 230 bergers but am struggling to get the length correct. Hope to have it dialed in by sheep season.

I handled a Traverse in 28 Nosler at the Sportsman's Warehouse in Cheyenne, Wyoming. It fit me like a glove, one in 300 WSM will be heading my way shortly. I bought a Summit Thumbhole in 270 WSM from Euro-Optics, I haven't shot it yet, sure is a nice light rifle.

I had a CA mesa 6.5 which has never had an issue and is super accurate. My brother wanted it more.
