I’m considering installing one of these on my Creedmoor Xbolt Pro hunting rifle. Claims it’ll bring trigger pull down to about 2.6 lbs give or take. The factory trigger is a bit heavy it seems. Anyone with experience have anything good or bad to say? Watched a few videos and install looks easy enough. Looks like I have to destroy factory spring to get it out so I guess there’s no turning back once I do it ... that’s main reason I’m asking for opinions.

I've installed several MCarbo spring kits in TC Compass rifles and they work as advertised.

Yes RB I put one of their springs in my XBolt Hells Canyon. Mine is right @ 2.5lbs after the install. You do ruin the factory spring but I would highly recommend it. Hope this helps

Just pull the Browning trigger and install a Timney. If you sell the Browning, put the old trigger back and sell the Timney.
I have my Timney at a measured 1 lb 11oz. It is a nice trigger. Got it on sale at Midway in December.

I've have the MCarbo trigger spring on my XBolt rifle and it works great. I don't know if it is quite as nice as a Timney trigger. The problem with installing a Timney trigger is that the bolt unlock safety on the XBolt will no longer work.

I put one in a M70 with the old style tigger. It felt good but would not pass the bump test. I put the orig back in and tuned it to my liking.

I put one in a Savage Axis in .223. It helped the trigger a whole bunch. It broke at 2.5lbs after I installed it, so they do work, and are simple to install..

I’ve installed two. One in a Turkish made Mossberg SA20 Turkey Thug shotgun. It helped a lot and I’m happy with it. That’s one hell of a turkey killing machine now. Light, fast, well balanced and great fiber optic sights.
The 2nd on was on my Ruger America Rifle in .223. It wasn’t as good as I hoped. While I was able to get the weight of pull down ok, it was mushy and unsatisfactory.
I then installed a Timney trigger in the RAR. That took all of ten minutes. It’s highly adjustable and I set it at 2#, exactly the same as my two Kimber hunters. That made the RAR into a totally different rifle. Very accurate and dependable.
