According the the FB rimfire heroes, they're not worth buying. Lots of problems, very ammo picky (use High Velocity only). I have no idea whether they know what they're talking about, personally. I have no experience with them, but even on rimfirecentral, they are not well-thought-of.

I DO have a Smith M&P Compact that has never puked or gagged, and an SR-22 Ruger that is equally reliable. I can recommend those.

Thanks for the input, ratsmacker. I suspected the reliability may be in question. I was told the FireFly replaced the Mosquito due problems it had. I have been unable to get a 'hands on', w/ either handgun.

At the range the other day I saw a guy shooting one, and it seemed to run fine.

Of course a single case or a small sample doesn't prove much.

I have a Mosquito that runs fine. It's never had an issue and I recently added threaded barrel to which I attach my SilencerCo Sparrow. It's way too much fun.

I have one and have shot it a lot. The early models, (both SIG and GSG) came with two recoil springs, one for standard velocity and one for high velocity ammunition. The new issue guns come with two springs, both for high velocity ammunition. Any "issues" with the early guns came from using the wrong spring. With the current guns any high velocity round will run them without any issues. They are fun to shoot and very reliable. I run CCI Mini-Mags in mine but that is what I use in most of my 22s. Like most things, follow the rules and everything work out just fine.
