I have a Winchester 1886. 22" fast tapered barrel, 45-70, half-tube magazine, shotgun style butt. Serial number dates to 1910. Flat top rear sight, front ramp withivr insert bead in the blade.
I see these listed as Light rifles and Ultralight rifles. What is the correct model designation?

Extra lightweight is the correct term.

To quote a man who knows more than I.

"Winchester never used the term "lightweight" for their Model 1886. They only catalogued the Extra Light Weight. The pre-1902 Extra Light Weight rifles should have case color finished levers and hammers."

Also while often called such, the 33wcf models never had a lightweight designation of any kind.

Love mine. 33 WCF will totally flatten a deer.
