Looking for a Quality pair of 6x30 or thereabouts for bow hunting. Just something with a wide field of view and to pick out shooting lanes. Thoughts?

I tried the Viper 6x32's for a year, not enough umph for me. Have settled on 8x30's. Was using Nikon Monarch 7's with a 420' field of view up until this year when I traded for some 8X30 CL's. I would sell the Nikons if you are interested.

I bought a pair of the Kowas and believe the glass is at least equal to my older Yosemite's. The only thing I didn't like about them was the lens covers are inadequate. The Kowas focus wheel is very smooth as compared to my Yosemites which even though it is well used it's still as sticky as the day I bought it. Because of the lens covers I ended up giving the Kowas to my granddaughter.

Yes, the Leupold BX-1 Yosemite 6x30. One of the best buys in optics, makes a lovely image and it's Made in America.

It is a good one and I have one too. Sadly, Leupold has discontinued it.

Minox used to make a set of 6.5s that were great if u can find them, also steiner made 6x30 hunting series binos for a while. I have a set and love them for bow and Turkey hunting.

I carry the latest version of the 8x25 Swarovski, and they are incredible for the size. Certainly a midsize view in the compact frame. Cry once option.

Sure have been happy with the 6x30 Kowas. I have/had a half-dozen Yosemites in various vehicles and like the Kowas better......

I've had the Kowa 6x30s. They are amazing for the price. I expected almost toy binoculars for what I paid. Not so, they are well built and excellent optically. I think there was a thread awhile back that said the guy that originally designed them went to work for Kowa and took his design with him. The consensus was the Kowa was a little better

Another vote for Meopta 6.5 love'em in the woods.

IMO Kowa binoculars are not in the same optical league as Kowa spotting scopes.

Then you never looked through a Kowa Genesis binocular as they are outstanding

Apparently Meopta 6.5x is no longer made either. The current Kowa may be better than the pair I had maybe a dozen years ago!
