Looking for stable, consistent powder that gets a 150gr projectile in the 3k range. Never played with this one yet.

What have you all used. I have a pile of RL15, RL22 on hand, H-1000 and Retumbo. Small batches of 4198 and some others that wont likely work.

162 Amax @ 2950 with 7828 and 160 accubonds 2940 with R22 Both at 60.5 gr of powder. Accubonds shoot 3/8 " at 200 and the Amaxs make 1 hole @ 200.

I’ve used RL22 for years in mine. Great velocity and accuracy.

Not sure about the AI version, but Vitavouri N160 and N550 work quite well and hit right at 3Kfps in a 22" barrel with a 150g bullet in a non AI.

RL23 is better than RL22. I used 22 before 23 came out.
3070fps with 162 24" barrel
3220fps 140 24" barrel and 3240fps with 140 in another 24" barrel all 3 with RL23

What is your call on max with RL23 and 160s?

I have this combo on my list to try. Obviously I will start 10% below are work up.

I'd probably try 26 before 23. But 22 works so well, there is absolutely no reason to change

Why would you try 26 before 23?

I-7828 and R-26 work best in my two rifles, with 150s and 160s.

I prefer the tried and true H4831SC but there are numerous good ones that are temperature insensitive...

Super T,
Temp stable. So I am reducing velocity variations related to temperature.
