I'm going to plant an early corn crop in the hopes that there'll still be a TP shortage come the time when corn is ready to be harvested, and I can sell the cobs.
I hope people enjoy all the crap they hoarded for a long, long time.At least it won't be that busy in the stores later.

I saw a story on TV this morning regarding the Great TP Panic of 2020. Three individuals got into a fight over the stuff, and one of the women (two women fighting a man) broke a bottle and stabbed the man with the broken bottle. This happed in a Walmart.

Somewhere, somebody is going to get killed over a roll of TP. If somebody is stupid enough to get killed over a roll of TP, we'll all be better off without them.
Proves how stupid people are. It's not gotten better.
I was 13 in 1974, and I don't recall a toilet paper shortage. Might have been around that time, though, that my father came home with a gigantic, industrial sized, cardboard box full of it. It took us (three kids and two adults) about six months to use it all up.
Proof there are $#^%holes in this world we could do without.
We already knew that ... 8 years of Obama.

The only big supply of anything I remember as a kid was poptarts. We won a year's supply of different flavors of poptarts off some promotional they had on the box. While they gave us a mix of several flavors, about 50% was cinnamon flavored with no icing. All the preferred flavors got eaten first so we had a bunch of cinnamon to eat after that. Still tasty though paired with a glass of milk.
We had a shortage of TP in late 1975 and early 1976 in Alaska when there was a dock worker strike in California. It seems the ships that brought supplies to Alaska including TP were not being loaded and groceries and supplies were not leaving the lower 48. I was in the Army and they also were having shortages to include TP. We all kept a roll with us in our lockers so we had it as there was no guarantee we would find it in the latrines. By the middle of 1976 the strike was settled and it was no longer an issue. I understood the Air Force flew a cargo plane to the lower 48 and got a load of TP to bring back and redistribute it to the military posts across Alaska. We live in interesting times.

For liberals and anarchists, power and control is opium, selling envy is the fastest and easiest way to get it. TRR. American conservative. Never trust a white liberal. Malcom X Current NRA member.
I can just imagine the pulp and paper industry now running flat out and even trying to determine whether it is possible to shift some machines to TP Then in 6 months the demand essentially dries up as people realize they don't have to buy TP for a year or more.
I did an inventory this morning and have 4 roles of TP that should last me at least 4 months. I don't understand why all the greedy idiots (must be democrats) are stocking up on anything but especially TP and bottled water. Do they think the virus is going to shut down the electric grid and refineries? We get our water out of Lake Travis (63 miles long and fed by 2 rivers) so I'm not worried about water shortages. If the electric grid were to fail I'd just dip some water out of the lake.
