Hoping for a trick I can use to shrink the opening on a banded front sight? Do not need much maybe .010

Any help or thought would be apreciated.

Make up a .005" (or whatever thickness it takes to get a snug slide fit) full circle shim. Degrease everything and coat both sides of shim with Loctite 638. Insert in sight band and put band on barrel. After cure it will be permanent, requiring about 400 deg F. to break down the adhesive.
