High Country,
Have you thought about casting your own bullets or do you already? If so what kind of mould are you going to use?

I cast all my own bullets and have a couple that shoot great in my Shiloh, but one of them would not do well in a Marlin. I think it would be too big/long to chamber and it probably would not stabalize with the Marlin rifling.

I have played with the idea but have never done it yet, but with the way it seems I like to shoot that rifle I may be stepping up soon. It also depends on how my 425gr piledrivers shoot if they shoot I may just go that route. I ordered them the end of April, they informed me they were sort of backed up, I am getting anxious to try them.

It has been my experience that you probably won't need extra shots if you hit what you are aiming at with the 45-70. wink
