I have a Reflex Extreme I bought back in '97-'98 that I hunted with pretty regularly for about 3 years, then I put it away and went back to rifles but I have shot it a few times in the last couple of years. Well this past weekend I was showing it to friend and now I want to use it this fall and my question is this, should I have the string replaced and what kind do I need? I think it had Fastflight string on it but not real sure. What about the cables, shouldI replace them too? I did keep my string and cables coated with a good amount of beeswax over the years but I don't know if that would make any difference.

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

Strings need to be replaced about every 2 years. Since it's about 10 years old, I would replace the cables as well. Lot's of good strings on the market. Winners choice or Twisted Archer comes to mind.
