With gun values "soft", some continue the upward climb no matter the general market. Of course anything with condition is climbing as more seek and fewer find. Here's one I wish I had bought 100 of. https://www.gunsinternational.com/g...a-7mm-08-very-clean.cfm?gun_id=101415671

The one at the Amish auction, where I passed on the 38-55 SR at $1700, had one. I'm hurting my brains cells trying to remember, but I think it went for between $1200 and $1600.
I'm not greedy, I just want one of each.

I wish I had bought a train load of Swedish Mausers when you could have got them at 80-bucks a pop! Or maybe even better, I wish I had bought a pile of 7mm-08 99 barrels back in the 90s when Gun Parts/Numerich Arms had them for about a hundred bucks - give or take.

Seller, Tommyguns, had three of em on there a few weeks ago. Believe prices were around $3,300 - $3,400.

Tommyguns has single-handedly done more to improve the value of our collections than anyone or anything since the last democrat was elected. I asked him where in the world he's gotten so many nearly mint 99's to sell, several at a time listed for the last several years straight. His reply- You wouldn't believe what walks through the door. Yeah, you're right, I wouldn't believe it! He's gotta be liquidating a huge collection.

I haven't been able to snag a 7mm-08, but I did pick up a .22-250 last year. I wonder approximately how many of each were made.

Here's one I wish I had bought 100 of.
I wish I would have bought 100 WW ll M1 Garands, M1 Carbines and 1911's 25 years ago. And some P38 Lugers, MP-38/40s and Sturmgewehr 44's Didn't think I could afford that stuff 25 years ago. I'd be retired now. Sigh....

Because it seems like a bottomless pit. And he getting good money too.
