Rifles are exactly the same. Factory 13.5” LOP and 22” barrels. just a weird camera angle.

Is that a 24" barrel on the bottom rifle? All non-magnum SS Fwt's/All Terrain are 22" SA and LA, 22-250 through 30-06. The magnum "Featherweights"/All Terrain have 24" bbls. IIRC, the Magnum Fwt/All Terrain were only in 7Rem and 300Win mags. Yep. And BOSS were a little longer. Pretty sure BOSS rifles were the same OAL, ~2" less rifled portion of the bbl. A non-magnum Fwt BOSS bbl would measure 22" from gas-hole to the end of the boss and ~20" to end end of the rifled portion of the bbl if you took the BOSS off it's threads. Mag Fwt would be 24/22. Mostly just semantics to get a bump for these beautiful rifles.

I get exactly 0.25” longer on all the boss models ... or nicking pits for kicks! Up for a great guy and some amazing (non boss!) rifles.

Any idea how either shoot? I’ve considered doing a project with one of these in a lightweight stock if someone wanted the wood.

I’ve lingered long enough......I’ll take the 5 digit. PM enroute Thank goodness. I bought the 5-digit 7MM Mag he had and I would have really liked the 5-digit .270 Win to go with it. Thanks for removing the temptation and congrats on an excellent rifle. FWIW, I already have a 5-digit 7MM Mag, and from what has been determined on the Winchester section of the 24 hour campfire, the early ones are either uncatalogued or a special run through Davidson's, as that is where my dad ordered mine from in 1995. It's been my big game rifle since I got it, and I absolutely love it!!!

I've been seriously trying to justify buying the 5 digit. Now that it's spoken for I'm sure I will be kicking myself later.. BeardHunter got a very nice rifle.

Liked the wood on the 6 digit better but I can justify purchasing the 5 digit and not feeling as bad about it. At least that’s what I keep telling myself. You just don’t see many of the 270 classics in stainless which I have to say surprises me.

Question: guessing the one gun doesn’t have the original stock, due to the blued swivel studs?

One of you need to buy that rifle ‘cause I need it like a hole in the head. Besides, Ingwe would skin me alive.
