Playing with RL 26 and the 6.5 Creed. Up to 47g with a 130g Nosler Accubond. No pressure signs yet, but.. Is 48g safe?? Thought I would ask those with Quickloader before I pulled the trigger..
TIA

No quick load, but yes it is probably safe in your rifle. Every rifle is different. It will run close to 50 with no issues, usually. I don't chase max velocity anymore. I run 46 grains with the 147 ELDM and it is fine. I had it higher than that and backed it down.

Quickloads burn rate for R26 is off, they have it slower than R25 so go easy near max. It also doesn't show traditional pressure signs like other powders.
50 grains would be a good stopping point or 3,000 fps.

Tikka T3x, 24" barrel. Getting just under 2900 fps. Will try 48g and perhaps stop there. Not really trying to hot rod. 46g was OK accuracy wise, but 47g was better. Hoping 48g will be a bit more accurate. I have seen up to 50g but....
Thanks again for the info. Stay safe all.

IME RL16 is much better than FL26 with 130AB's.

I have RL 16, and 17. Accuracy was not as good but velocity was there. Right now shooting very well with 139g Scenars and ELD-X 143g bullets. Thought I would try RL-26. So so with Barnes 120g TTSX.

Not sure if it helps, but I run 48.0gr behind a 95gr. Partition in a 243. No pressure signs and 3200 fps.

I think that the Re 26 shines better with the heavy bullets. Light bullets do well with some other powders, too.
