Tell you what. If you are right about Crenshaw and I am wrong I’ll apologize to you here and now and well in advance.

Regardless of any Second Amendment policy disagreements with Crenshaw, he's clearly too smart to be led around an interview by the likes of Maher. He's definitely got his act together.

SHORT ANSWER:
Crenshaw is a swamp creature and a snake who knows who butters his bread. He will never choose real Americans over his paymasters if the interests diverge.

LONG ANSWER
I was not a McCain fan for more than 5 minutes or so after I became politically aware and read up on McCain's history. Nauseating. If you know his record going way back, you know what I mean.

Here's the thing: McCain (and most any other "moderate" of liberal boomer in politics) flogged their service into such a lather that Audie Effing Murphy was a sniveling coward by comparison. "Don't you know what McCain ENDURED!!!111eleventy" "John Kerry is so principled that he captained swift boats in Vietnam but out of highest principle tossed someone else's medals over the WH fence and accused his buddies of behaving like medieval barbarians. What a HE-RO!" This was used as a screen to hide their decades' worth anti-American policies.

Crenshaw may have more actual martial substance, but he is using his service in the same way: as a screen and to get those ignorant of his voting & rhetorical record to respond to substantive criticism of him with , "But he's a SEAL!!!!! and you're a dummy-head for not recognizing his greatness! Look how he crushes LIEberals with FACTS and LOGIC!"

To be blunt, Crenshaw is a cuckservative, happy to see real Americans screwed culturally and economically and demographically. He can't even stay straight on easy RKBA issues, such as red flag laws, "assault weapons", "universal background checks" (IOW, no private sales without gov't permission). In addition, he is great with screwing regular Americans out of jobs by supporting hundreds of thousands of more green cards for Indians via H1B visas.

So screw Crenshaw with a buzz saw. And his pig ignorant supporters.

Pence is a weakling, a sop to ignorant Christians who listen to his words, but know not his actions.

Pence was the pivot point when the GOP establishment went full-bore globohomo. He was Indiana gov, the ledge was passing a religious freedom bill like the federal Religios Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) bill. But then the GOP globohomo corporate gaystapo paymasters objected and Pence crumpled like wet newsprint, refusing the sign the bill as-is until it watered down religious freedom protections. What a squish.

And who was the raging far-right President who signed the FEDERAL RFRA the Indiana bill was modeled on? Bill Clinton. Clinton and the Dems wanted to protect (feather) indians from being prosecuted for using peyote. But Christians started using RFRA and that was not to be tolerated, so the GOP corporate donor axis of the pedo-homo axis told Pence "JUMP", so Pence bent over & jumped while hollering "HOW HIGH?"

Because you say so? And just who the hell are you? You were a Navy Seal when??

Maher getting shellacked by an intelligent, thoughtful conservative. Love it. He doesn't often allow himself to be cast in that conversational framework. No voices raised, no talking over the other person, no practiced monologue, not allowed to gloss over fact and skew timetables.

Fun to watch in those rare instances.
