Anybody see the new Bartlein carbon wrapped barrels?? Looks like it will be a pretty nice barrel, George at GAP has a short video about them and feels they are good to do. And with them being a Bartlein I would assume they feel pretty good about putting their name on a CF wrapped barrel. And the good news is they have 7MM barrels https://www.facebook.com/george.gar...DUzMTk4NjYxMTg5NToyOTc0ODE0MTc1OTE2OTgx/

Yep...seen them yesterday on Instagram...they look good!!
I would wait until I personally ordered one...let the "guinea pigs" run them for awhile & get some feedback from them. Like you said though, coming from Bartlein, I'd expect high quality stuff!!

Well, I guess I'll be one of the "guinea pigs" . I just ordered one of the #4 contour 7MM barrels. I would hope that the first ones should be especially good so that everyone wants one right

Should have the barrel delivered next Thursday, still waiting on a stock and deciding on the action so the build is still out there a bit.

I have Ole Faithful (my beloved 7 Mag) out for the 6 Million Dollar Man treatment....Better, Stronger, Faster = 300 PRC
Installing a new PROOF Carbon barrel, Hawkins Precision brake, new Wyatts PRC kit, new Trigger Tech Diamond trigger, and form fit bedding (like Tim Cronin did) and a new paint job. Probably be done in 3-4 months.
Also just ordered a Bartlein barrel today for a new 7 Mag...have not decided on action or stock yet...this one is way down the road yet!!

Someone who has never seen one will be along any minute to tell us that they are a waste of money. What a waste of money! CF wrapped barrels don’t shoot, all they do is hold heat and there’s no advantage at all over a steel barrel! I’ve never seen one and didn’t know Bartlein was making them until I saw this thread. I wouldn’t expect Bartlein to push out a product before it was ready, especially because their steel barrel business is hopping.

GA Precision will be one of the 3 dealers for these Barrels We tried to stock what I thought would do great with target shooters and hunters. If there is somthing specific you guys are thinking we should stock please let know. I have Builds going for RicBin and Scenarshooter (Pat) now. They will no dought fill you all in on the performance of them. We are also the only dealer for the Colored ones, there is Green, White and Red (brown), those are special order only and about 12 weeks https://www.gaprecision.net/ga-store/miscellaneous.htmlCheers Guys George Gardner GA Precision

So they show a 26" finish length, how much shorter can you go, if possible, cutting back each end?

Interesting thread, I can’t remember the date but back when Proof Research was getting started they used quite a few Bartlein barrels. Several of my friends have them and they are good barrels, great to see Bartlein doing their own carbon wraps
