I have a Sako A7 Big Game in 7mm Rem Mag. Rather than burn unnecessary money and rounds down the tube to experiment, I thought I'd ask what off-the-shelf ammo people have had luck with in this rifle. Not partial to any brand, just want reasonable consistency and accuracy in the 140-160 grain window for those few times when I need to go lead-free.

I like the TTSX bullets. I’m sure someone loads them. Vor-tx 7mm 140. I would try them.

My old Sako A7 in .300 WSM simply loved 168 TTSXs. I’d start there.

TTSXs I mean.

Barnes Vor-Tex seems to shoot well in a variety of rifles, so I'd start there.

I no longer have this rifle but when I did mine shot the 150gr Barnes TTSX's surprisingly well. Good luck.

Besides Barnes, Ive had great luck with Federal Trophy Copper. I’ve read they’re essentially Etips with groves cut but I don’t know if that’s true. They’ve shot really well in a few of my rifles. I’ve shot small whitetail to big plains game with them without an issue

Been working with Nosler E-Tips, and IMR 4350, Lower range gave great accuracy, Haven't shot over a chronograph yet,
