Hey guys, any thoughts on a Sig Sauer P320Nitron Compact? The good, the bad and the ugly ? I'm thinking about buying it soon. From what I have read, they had a problem about 2 or 3 years ago with the gun discharging if it was dropped, then Sig fix the problem but I can't find anything else on it.

Good - Decent pistol - I'm liking the ability to swap the FCU to different frames, and different slides.

9mm, .40, and .357 Sig take the same sized FCU - the .45 FCU is larger, and only swaps with .45.

The trigger recall is pretty much done across the 320 line - you "may" find a NOS that has not been back to Sig, but it's still honored.

I've owned several 320s in 9mm and 40 - they have been 1-3 inch guns at 25 yards with most ammo.

Bad - it's a Sig - accessories are expensive IMHO - but they work.

The lower grip module has to be bought if you want a different grip size- most ship with the Medium - you don't get 4 backstraps with the pistol like a Glock or SW M&P.

It's not the most compact carry gun, there are smaller packages out there that will lower you "print".

Ugly - if you tinker with the FCU - Apex, Agency, etc - IMLE - you are more like to run into dead trigger or other issues if the parts don't quite fit.

Some of this - I believe - is the relative "new-ness" of the Sig 320 to the poly gun market.

I agree with Ah64guy and his commentary.

I have three P320's, one in .45, one in 9MM, and one in .357 Sig. All have several grip frames and different slide/barrel lengths. Buy one, you will like it!
