I've been fortunate to be able to "Beta Test" the Oehler System '89. I did some rimfire TOF/BC testing recently and found that using the G7 for the ammo/rifle I have will likely give good predictions to any range I plan to shoot.
I believe this because the system reported the same G7 BC number for 100, 200 and 500 yards. The G1 numbers at those distances were all different.
The System '89 is exciting technology and will let shooters make measurements that most have never made before. Personally, I believe it to be as big an advancement for long range shooting as user level chronographs proved to be for shooting in general.
The cost is less than many higher end scopes.
