I'm sure the title will get a lot of attention. wink

I asked this months ago but I'm hoping there might be new information. Anybody heard any date for the release of a production run yet?

I'm waiting for a reply as well. I want one of these rifles in a bad way. Can't wait 'til they hit the stores.

There really doesn't seem to be a whole lot of info out there. I know some of it is because Ruger is a public company. (N: RGR)

Talked with my source in Newport this morn.
Situation is unchanged since early May: to wit, they have made a pile of 450/400s, they are waiting to be fired for proof and function, still no ammo from Hornady.

NB; No rifle will leave the plant without proof and function fire.
The answer to our question "When will the 450/400s be out?" is in the hands of the production folks in Grand Island.

Thanks SavutiOneShot

So, I guess the next topic should be 'when will hornady have ammo?' wink

Thanks again for posting; seems to be very few who know what the timeline is. Glad you have a source there.

Forgot to mention above: If you want to order one, tell your dealer to get you product code # 11324.

SakoAlbeta,

If you are ging to call Hornady for ammo availability ask for Doug Derner @ 1-800-338-3220.

Too late I guess. Same info I found out regarding the proof ammo. Not that I have ANY need for such a chambering but... have to wait and see. wink

I'm just trying to actually figure out how to post an image. The above post is the buttstock on my #1 .458 Lott.
