I posted a similar request for info several months ago. I did not receive any positive responses that encouraged use of Elk Ridge. Feed back on Richards Microfit was about 60 / 40 yes/no. I went with Richards for a spendy piece of 95% inlet ($275) and was very happy. Still put in about 50 hours doing fit and finish. I would not order up a drop in from anyone, as final fit would likely be very loose. Check the post below out for a photo. 1Minute

I wouldn't use Elkridge if they were the only place to buy a stock from. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen.

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever seen. Part of the problem with their customer service is that Elkridge is not the primary manufacturer. They order all their stocks from Richard's Micro Fit which creates all sorts of trauma for Elkridge customers. I'm not sure if Shawnee still owns it or not but between Reamer Rental and Elkridge stocks she doesn't know which end is up. Regards.
The greatest mystery in life is who we really are.

I ordered a LH laminate 95% inlet once. turned out to be about 112% inlet. they wouldn't take it back. I made it work by bedding it up with acraglass. haven't used them since.

I wish I had seen this forum before I ordered from them. I could write pages on how sorry the company and the person who idenitified himself as the owner to me are. In short ordered a custom stock from my rifle 1/07, received it 5/07. My gun fit in it crooked. Called Elk Ridge and was told their stocks are never off and they get no complaints. Had me send mine to a gunsmith who agreed stock was crooked. Sent stock back and was told their gunsmith said it was fine (figures). At any rate, I told them I had already ordered another stock from another company and that it fit perfect. They wanted to know what company and when I refused to tell them, the so called owner of the company flat out called me a LIAR. I had to send them the documemnts providing I ordered another stock. I am still fighting with them over a refund, but I have NEVER run into as bad of customer service and treatment as I have these people. At this point the stock should make some good firewood.
