Does anyone on here have a Good Sam membership? Do you feel that it is a worthwhile investment? I like the looks of the trip planners, free dump, and some other discount, but I am not sure it pays for itself.
Just the discount membership or the Roadside policy? We have some roadside coverages, towing, etc with the auto policy, but I am wondering if it is easier to use these guys?
Any feed-back from using these or other companies' services would be appreciated.

My parents were RVers for years. They liked GS for the convenience. They didn't think it saved them any money but they liked all the benefits plus they liked to travel with other members.

I figure that for $80 for 3 years, the regular membership should pay for itself in RV dumping alone.
Still on the fence about their Roadside Assistance though as I am capable enough to handle most situations.

If I don't need to dump before I get home, the country fairgrounds has a free dump and it's only a couple miles away. There are 2 other free dump sites on the way home from where we go the most.

We use Escapees. Had to use the tow service last year for our 40' MH. Can't say enough good about the experience. Escapees has some nice parks also.

The groids in Nashville just let the TDOT Incident Response Rescue bring them 5 gal of gas or change a tire for them.

Can always pick out members of the Good Sam club on the interstate
They have that sicker on their back window
Little fat guy with a halo over his bead....yeah right And the reason I can read it is because theyre going 20 mph slower than the rest of traffic.

The ones in the motor toter pulling the Jeep pulling the boat? Looking like a slinky going down the road. Have to pass em in the emergency gravel to keep from trading paint NASCAR style.

Good Sam owner Marcus Lemonis is an anti Trump POS. I dropped my Good Sam membership when he started sharing his feelings and I haven't been in a Camping World since.

What he saying is.... instead of being prepared, homies in Nashvegas let the gub’mint man change tires for them. FREE. #truth

Quite a stretch to make that applicable to my questions, but whatever makes you feel better.

It sure would be cool if people could answer the questions without detours or side conversations. But again..."This is the 'fire"

Still on the fence about their Roadside Assistance though as I am capable enough to handle most situations. I spun a bearing, trashed the hub. I could of handled it myself but didn't have parts. Had a roadside repair guy come from Barstow, CA and I was in sight of Ridgecrest, CA. That's about an 80 mile drive. No GS contractors in Ridgecrest. I also had a hell of a time getting the receptionist to "see" where i was. I gave a physical direction, mile marker, lat/long and for some reason she couldn't find Ridgedcrest on her computer. I now carry a drum and 2 old but serviceable backing plates in my trailer. That is the only time I used it and was definitely worthwhile.
Fight fire, save lives, laugh in the face of danger.

Good Sam and the others are a waste if you can get decent auto insurance for your RV...Formost through Farmers is great and inexpensive compared..
