Is there enough meat in the barrel to thread the muzzle for a suppressor?

I would think it would depend on the barrel diameter as well but I would want a 5/8x24.

1/2 suppressor threads are normally for 223, so 5/8’s for 6 & 6.5’s

5/8 = .625 for the max thread size, and you need a shoulder for the rest to back up.

Most spotters are .6 at the muzzle so you’d be screwed there.

Have a Montana in .7-08AI and a 700 in .308 with a rem Sporter contour barrel threaded 1/2x28, my harvester comes with screw in end caps with different thread options. I've shot 5-600 rds through both guns and so far have no issues whatsoever.

Change in POI does seem more exaggerated with the light barrels though.
