The are both F's.
I don't know what the market is these days. I sold one like the bottom for $550 10 years ago and bought one like your top F (takedown)for about the same a dozen years ago.
Assuming now problems (extra holes, tang cracks), I think they'd go for more
If you decide on the price for the 50's F I would be interested, assuming he/you are willing to ship.

Second one isn't 1951, the 1950's 99F didn't come out until 1955. With the fluted comb on the buttstock, that's going to put it as late 1956-1959.

Chipped toe on the older rifle really kills it. $550-600 $800 on the 1950’s F if it’s as good as it looks like it might be.

I like em both, while not an active buyer with better picts and a penny start on GB from a reputable seller I think both would do well especially the newer rifle.

On the early rifle many say the tang sight is worth 100$

The tang sight is worth 100.
But if you took it off and sold it for 100 what is a chipped toed old beat up rifle with no rear sight worth?
I think $550 with the sight is a reasonable value. I can't believe post war pre mil 300 F's are worth $800 these days, but that seems to be what they are bringing.
Next thing you know post war 300 R's will be 1000. When a year ago you could not even sell a nice one for 500.
We've been through several recent years of a buyers market IMO, but in the last 6 months to 12 months it has become a sellers market again. Like it was 10-12 years ago.
Not sure who these buyers are, but they are bringing their wallets with them....

I'd be all over that TD for $550 like a fat kid on a "smartie" if it were in Canada...

Obviously a gun is worth what the buyer and the seller can agree to. But $800 on a 1950's 99F in 300 on a table means it stays on the table unless it looks like it just came out of the box. They are hardly uncommon. Just my opinion, and I'm a cheap old fart. Similar condition rifle? https://www.gunbroker.com/item/872903188Price jumps $150 with a Leupold? https://www.gunbroker.com/item/871594694

Still some good deals out there for smart shoppers.
Any gun to my thinking always have 2 prices.
The price I would sell one for and the price I would pay for one. Two different animals.

Sounds like I could meet you in Rock Springs or Green River. It would be better if you could come up here and look over the herd.
