Ok so I have the following dilemma.
I have a a Mk V 257 Bee Ultra lightweight rifle. It weighs 6.75 lbs sans scope. This is a tack driver. It is currently scoped with a Swarovski 3x9x36mm (duplex reticle) on Talley lightweight rings. This scope weighs 9 oz only.
The problem is this. With this scope I can not take advantage of the LR capability of the rifle/cartridge. No holdover points on the reticle and twisting turrets...well this scope is not meant for this.
If you were to replace the scope with a lightweight scope that you can either dial or take advantage of dots or hashmarks in the reticle what would it be.
Yes I love NF scopes but no I am not putting a 20z pig on a lightweight rifle.
Thanks in advance!

6x36 with dots.
I don’t know if there is a scope that light and accurate adjustments go hand in hand.

I do prefer a 9 power as a minimum. I thought about the SWFA lightweight , I have this on my MK V Backcountry 240 Bee but the eye relief does not leave much to error by.

Fotis,
You will like the Z5 2.4-12x50. One of the few Swaro scopes I have actually cared for.

Why not the Swaro 3-10x42 with the BRX or BRX-heavy reticle.

Z5 width BRX or BRX. I would not rely on the ballistic turret for dialing.

Swarovski z5 3.5-18x44. I have one on a Remington 700 TI and the rifle and scope combined weigh a little over 6.5lbs.
Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.

BRX reticle is much too fine for big game hunting in my opinion.
I “had” a 3-10 Swaro Z3 with the BRH reticle. After selling it and trying out half a dozen or so other scopes, only now do I realize it was as close to perfect for my use as I’m going to find.

Thanks in advance! Might we inquire how far you wish to kill stuff with this rifle? A few stand out options are available but without a max range you intend to shoot some may be over kill and others might not be sufficient. Thanks.

Sounds like you need something along the 3-12 My 270 has a 3-9 and shooting in off season at 600 yards on 8” gong, leaves me wanting little more zoom. The 3-12 on my 6.5 covers all of my needs
All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Buy the Pig. With the weight of it you might have the perfect balanced rifle. Steel rings and bases too.

I have three Z5 3.5-18x44s. One is riding on a .257 Wby and I really like it. I prefer the ballistic turrets. The scopes are light, bright, and have held dialing to 600 yards great. The other two are on a .300 WBY and 7mm Rem Mag.

I have a Swarovski z5 3.5-18 on my 6.5 SAUM. The whole rifle, with scope, weighs 7lb exactly.
I chose the BRH reticle as it was lighter and more reliable for drop compensation than turrets.
