Who decided the "law" that protects rioters and looters from being shot by the Police or Natl guard? I mean, a "mob" is a "deadly threat"? It seems to me that even Property Owners and Business Owners could legally use deadly force against them?
OR what is stopping the Police from using rubber buckshot or the Natl Guard from using those "sonic weapons that cause discomfort/nausea??

They don't want the bad press that would occur. Face it, the media isn't on the side of law and order any more, they are on the side of anarchy and disorder.

The politicians will prosecute individuals who kill rioters and chose to prevent police n military from killing rioters unless they are directly threatening their lives. Furthermore, the rioters are the voters who put the politicians in power.

The Police in the US have known exactly how to handle mob riots for over a century. They still know how, and could do so quickly. But they need commanders and superiors to issue the order and equipment and direct the process, i.e., orchestrate the whole maneuver, giving specific orders on the ground to their officers, etc.. Just sending the cops into the streets to be a uniformed presence is useless. They don't know what to do. It needs to be organized like a military action commanded by a colonel to his lesser officers, and on down. That has to start at the top, and it doesn't, because the top is told by the mayor that they are not permitted to do anything that would interfere with the rioters accomplishing their objectives in the streets, i.e. turning the nation upside down.

It's nothing more than an extension of Washington D.C. politics to benefit the common folks also. You know how it works; some people get prosecuted to the max and other people somehow don't even get charged or prosecuted depending on their political affiliations and / or views. Because NOBODY is above the law, but sometimes there are just refusals to prosecute. Welcome to the Great Society, comrade.

Its a sad state of affairs, thats for sure. Hopefully, the Fed won't bail them out...it seems "money" is the only thing that motivates Politicians, in this case, until it hurts their own pocketbook, no change.

I am torn.

Part of me says, screw the cities and let it burn.

But then I realize that they could live by me once City is destroyed. So we need to stop the violence.

I've seen video of a riot control product known as "Instant Banana Peel". It's a powder that gets sprayed in the path of a crowd and wet down with a water hose. The stuff gets so slippery nobody can stand up for more than a few seconds. It's hard to loot, burn, break windows, and assault the cops when you're falling on your butt repeatedly!

I’d like so see a demo of that banana peel stuff.
