Does Goodyear still actually make the boots or soles or is that the name of the design? The Goodyear welt has been around forever.

Goodyear welted footwear has effectively nothing to do with the Goodyear SJW corporation. It is a design for attaching an upper to a sole, invented by a guy named Goodyear.

Kinda hard for me to boycott what I don't buy anyway.

BUT... I know for a fact that Goodyear is a defense contractor.

I know for a fact also that they have a govt contract for many other agencies as well. Like the US Border Patrol. Reckon those boys go through some tires out there in the border country?

I purchased new vehicles that came with Goodyears ,but do not recall buying a set otherwise . I wont lose sleep over continuing the trend

I’ve bought plenty over the years with pretty good service out of them. Not always but farming I drove 75 percent gravel so if I got 35000 miles out of a set I was happy. Edk

Goodyear pitched a fit because SF ODA's were putting TSL Super Swampers on their HMMWV's and not long after that orders come down to take any Super Swampers off and get rid of them.

I remember seeing stacks of brand new 37 x 12.5 Super Swampers that we couldn't use. I sure would of rather had the Swampers when I was driving around over there.

I don't like getting stuck, flat tires, slipping around on icy or snow packed roads, paying big bucks for tires, suffering fast wear, or getting stuck (said it twice).

Goodyear Duratacs are simply in a class by themselves for a hard use western tire.

You all who don't really need a superlative tire are free to keep expressing your outrage.

I'm on my 3rd set of Wrangler Kevlars, best tires that I have ever used. When I replace these in 15k miles it won't be w Goodyears. I wonder what is US made and next best?
