Going a different route as hunt deep woods mostly and dont need the range this has. She has about 30 rounds down her And shoots sub moa at 100 yds with barnes bullet and 43 g 4878. Included are 2 additional unused breech plugs, a nikon bdc 3-9 scope basically brand new as used only with her, 100 300 g barnes bullets, 60 barnes 250 g bullets and 400 mmp sabots in addition to dome other accessories. I am looking for $1500 shipped as feel this is fair with the scope, extra plugs, bullets, and sabot. Only trades interested in are pinned smith revolvers. I am happy to send additional pics.

I've got an identical model. It is a very sweet hunting rig. No huge plume of smoke so you can see the game after you've shot. Of all the high powered rifles and big bore handguns I own, I've had more deer drop dead in their tracks with the Savage smokeless muzzle loader than any other.

I've never understood why Savage stopped making these, given the prices that used ones are going for.

Pressure from BATFE???

Thanks for the input guys. I also really like the gun its just more gun than I need where I hunt. For those who have one does price seem fair with all the accessories?

They are hammers. I shot a 5/8 group with mine at 200 yards. Only time I grouped it that far. I was using barnes bullet with someone else's sabot n 5744. Shot a doe going straight away with 300 grain xtp. Bullet went thru deer longways. Great rifles!

Your price is fine. I own 2 of these and would not sell either one for $1500.00. Free bump
